Golden night for Brits at the Golden Globes

Last night proved to be a big night for the Brits, as they won big in Hollywood at the 77thGolden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.  
World War 1 epic 1917 took home two awards for Best Motion Picture – Drama, as well as Best Director In A Motion Picture for Sam Mendes, while Fleabag also nabbed two awards for Best Television Series – Musical Or Comedy, as well as Best Actress In A Television Series – Musical Or Comedy for Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
It was a good night too for Elton John, winning Best Original Song – Motion Picture for I’m Gonna Love Me Again from Rocketman, while Taron Egerton picked up Best Actor In A Motion Picture – Musical Or Comedy for the same film, while ruthless drama Succession garnered two awards for Best Television Series – Drama, and Best Actor In A Drama Series for Brian Cox, and Olivia Colman picked up another award, this time for Best Actress In A Drama Series for The Crown.
Elsewhere Once Upon A Time In Hollywood won awards for Brad Pitt (Best Actor In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture, Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, and Best Motion Picture – Musical Or Comedy. Other winners on the night included Renee Zellweger in Best Actress In A Motion Picture – Drama for her portrayal in Judy, while Joaquin Phoenix bagged Best Actor In A Motion Picture – Drama for his performance in Joker. Awkwafina took home Best Actress In A Motion Pictures – Musical Or Comedy for The Farewell, while Laura Dern won Best Actress In A Supporting Role In Any Motion Picture for Marriage Story.
Best Motion Picture – Animated went to Missing Link, while Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language was Parasite.
