A Quiet Place Part II grabs UK audiences

John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II managed to snatch UK audiences' attention once again to top the UK Box Office.

The sequel to 2018’s horror smash also stars Emily Blunt and Millicent Simmons, but this time introduces Cillian Murphy, with the film taking £3.6m on debut.

That meant James Corden comedy and leporine sequel Peter Rabbit 2 hopped down to second, having taken an impressive £12.6m domestically so far.

Disney prequel, the stylish Cruella starring Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, slipped to third place, while the latest Conjuring film, The Devil Made Me Do It, dips to fourth.

Newcomer Dream Horse, the heartwarming equine Welsh feel-good film starring Toni Collette and Damien Lewis, opens in fifth with £209k, followed by monster mash-up Godzilla vs Kong and Tom & Jerry The Movie in sixth and seventh respectively.

Oscar-winning Nomadland, starring Frances McDormand and directed by Chloe Zhao, Disney animation Raya And The Last Dragon and the animated Demon Slayer: Mugen Train complete the top ten.
