Bad Boys tops US Chart – whatcha gonna do?
A mere 17 years after the sequel, Bad Boys 3 topped the US Box Office on debut.
The film, Bad Boys For Life, which reunites Martin Lawrence and Will Smith, opened with $59m to surge past all its rivals.
Robert Downey Jr’s latest outing, the child-friendly Dolittle, opened in second spot and managed to live up to its name, with a somewhat disappointing $22.5m and ropey reviews.
That left 1917 fighting a rearguard action in third spot, with the Jumanji sequel dropping another level to fourth. Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker fell to fifth, despite closing in on $500m domestically, while Michael B Jordan’s crime drama Just Mercy went down to sixth.
Little Women, starring Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh, stumbled to seventh, with Rian Johnson’s Knives Out, Rose Byrne comedy Like A Boss and Disney musical Frozen II completing the top ten.
