Craig’s Licence To Thrill US audiences
In his last foray as 007, Daniel Craig’s Bond topped the US Box Office on its opening weekend.
No Time To Die, which also stars Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux and Ralph Fiennes, took $56m on debut, easing past incumbent Venom 2.
The comic book adaptation starring Tom Hardy snapped up another $32m, to take its domestic tally to a whopping $141m in just two weeks.
Third spot went to fellow sequel, creepy animation The Addams Family 2, featuring the vocal talents of Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac.
Elsewhere former number one Shang Chi slumped to fourth, despite having grossed $212m in six weeks, while Ryan Reynolds comedy Free Guy moved to six.
Uplifting drama Dear Evan Hansen, starring Julianne Moore and Ben Platt moves to seven, with newbie Lamb, an Icelandic drama, opening in eighth.
Nia DaCosta’s Candyman reboot and Dwayne Johnson’s Jungle Cruise complete the top ten.
