Dumbo stuns crowd to top the bill once more
Dumbo shot straight back to the top of the UK chart, for half term, replacing Shazam in the process.
The Tim Burton family film, which stars Colin Farrell and a v cute CGI elephant, took £2.3m to take its tally to £17.6m in three weeks.
That left family superhero Shazam!, starring Zachary Levi, slumped in second, while new entry, the kid-friendly Wonder Park featuring Jennifer Garner opened in third with £1.5m, while the third instalment of Hellboy, not featuring Ron Pearlman or Guillermo Del Toro this time, debuted with a disappointing £1.1m in fourth.
Elsewhere Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel continued to power on in fifth, having bagged £36m so far, while another new entry in the form of Glaswegian country singer Wild Rose opened in sixth with £772k.
Jason Clarke’s Pet Sematary sank down to seventh, while Regina Hall’s Freaky Friday style Little bowed in eighth.
Jordan Peele thriller Us and Hugh Jackman animation Missing Link complete the top ten.
