Glass clear ahead of rivals in UK Chart
M Night Shyamalan’s third instalment, Glass, topped the UK Box Office chart on its opening week.
The new entry, starring Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson from Unbreakable and James McAvoy from Split in this new mash-up took £3.4m on debut, edging ahead of fellow new entry Mary Queen Of Scots.
The historical drama, starring Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, managed £2m, pushing former frontrunner Stan And Ollie into third.
The super nanny of Mary Poppins Returns retired to fourth, while regal romp and leading Oscar hopeful The Favourite slumped to fifth.
Elsewhere king of the sea, Aquaman, trod water in sixth, with Transformers spinoff Bumblebee in seventh, and Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody in eight, having taken more than £51.1m domestically.
Animations Ralph Breaks The Internet and Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse complete the top ten.
Critically acclaimed Beautiful Boy, starring Steve Carell and Timothee Chalamet, debuted in 12th.
