How To Train Your Dragon sitting pretty on US summit
Animated adventure How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World retained the top spot for the second week running in the US chart.
The final instalment in the popular franchise took a further $30m to take its tally to $97.7m, holding new entry A Madea Family Funeral, Tyler Perry’s 20thdirectorial effort, which took $27m on debut.
CGI epic Alita: Battle Angel, from collaborators James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez, slipped to third, with family favourite The Lego Movie 2, which has taken in excess of $91m, collapsing to fourth.
Oscar winning Green Book sped back into the chart in fifth, following its awards’ success, while wrestling drama Fighting With My Family tumbled to sixth.
Rebel Wilson comedy Isn’t It Romantic lost a little sparkle in seventh, while new entry Greta, starring a psychopathic Isabelle Huppert, opened in eighth with $4.5m.
Elsewhere Taraji P Henson’s What Men Want dipped to ninth, with horror sequel Happy Death Day 2U completing the top ten.
