Liam Neeson’s latest hits the Mark in the US
Action thriller The Marksman took all its opponents out in the US Box Office in its debut.
The film, which stars Liam Neeson as a rancher, took $3.2m, replacing Wonder Woman 1984 at the top of the tree. The DC title still managed $2m though to take its tally to $32.5m domestically.
Third spot went to caveman animation sequel The Croods: A New Age, featuring the vocal talents of Nic Cage and Emma Stone, while Tom Hanks’ Civil War drama News Of The World moved to fourth.
Elsewhere fantasy actioner Monster Hunter with Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa fought its way to fifth, with Hilary Swank thriller Fatale sitting in sixth.
Carey Mulligan’s Promising Young Woman fell from grace to seventh, with newcomer Master, reissue The Emperor’s New Groove and Robert De Niro comedy The War With Grandpa completing the top ten.
