Mary Poppins Returns to charm UK film fans
The Mary Poppins' reboot saw the much-loved P L Travers' character fly to the top of the UK Box Office.
With Emily Blunt in the lead role, the magical nanny took £8.1m in its opened week, surging to the top of the UK Box Office, and sinking Aquaman, who had to settle with second spot.
The Grinch remained fixed in third, having bagged more than £22m in its seven weeks, while videogame character Ralph, in Ralph Breaks The Internet sat still in fourth.
Last week’s fast climber Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse was in freefall this week in fifth, with J K Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald rallying once more to move up to sixth, having amassed £31.6m.
Elsewhere Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody continued to rock people in eighth, while Indian comedy Zero and festive film Nativity Rocks! complete the top ten.
