Rivals can’t cut it, as Glass clear at top
M Night Shyamalan’s trilogy film Glass stayed top of the UK Box Office for the second week.
The film, which stars James McAvoy, Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson, took another £1.9m, just holding off Saoirse Ronan’s regal drama Mary Queen Of Scots.
Adam McKay’s political bio on Dick Cheney, which is nominated for multiple awards, debuted in third. The film, which stars Christian Bale in the lead role took £1.3m, pushing legendary comedy duo Stan & Ollie, played by Steve Coogan and John C Reilly down to fourth.
Super nanny Mary Poppins is starting to flag in fifth, with another royal romp in The Favourite, also up for numerous awards, bowing down to sixth.
Another new entry in the form of Dragon Ball Super: Broly debuted in seventh, with Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood’s latest, The Mule, opening in eighth.
Fellow newcomer A Dog’s Way Home, a family adventure starring Ashley Judd, bowed in ninth, with another new entry in Event Cinema’s Love Yourself In Seoul – BTS World Tour 2019 completing the top ten.
Elsewhere Jennifer Lopez’s Second Act only opened in 13th.
