Shang-Chi continues to hold its UK rivals at bay

Shang-Chi continued its dominance at the top of the UK Box Office with a fourth week at number one.

The latest film from the Marvel stable took another £1.5m, taking its overall tally to £18m, and seeing off its latest challenger, Sopranos' prequel The Many Saints Of Newark, which debuted in second with £945k.

Free Guy appeared to be in free fall after the Ryan Reynolds comedy dropped to third, while Oasis doc on their iconic gig Knebworth 1996 opened in fourth with £344k.

Elsewhere Jennifer Hudson's Respect, based on the legendary Aretha Franklin, spluttered on debut in fifth.

Jordan Peele & Nia DaCosta collaboration Candyman slid to six, with family favourite Paw Patrol The Movie down in seventh.

Dev Patel's foray in The Green Knight opened in eight, with The Croods 2: A New Age still charting in ninth, with James Wan horror Malignant completing the top ten.
