Shazam 1

Family-friendly superhero Shazam! continued to dominate the US Box Office, staying top for the second week.

The movie, which stars Zachary Levi, took a further $25m, to take its domestic tally to $53m since it opened.

Second spot went to a new entry in the form of Little, a Freaky Friday style comedy starring Regina Hall, which bagged $15.5m on debut, while third place came in the form of another debutant, Hellboy.

Despite poor reviews and no Guillermo Del Toro, this third instalment in the franchise starring David Harbour, opened with an underwhelming $12m.

Stephen King reboot Pet Sematary sank down to fourth, with Dumbo tripping over his ears and falling to fifth.

Sixth place went to Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, which continued to impress, having taken $386m domestically, while Jordan Peele’s Us was chopped down to seventh, having bagged $163m in its four weeks.

Elsewhere new entry the romantic drama After, starring Josephine Langford, debuted with $6.2m, with fellow new entry the Hugh Jackman animation Missing Link opening with $5.8m, while Taraji P Henson’s The Best Of Enemies completes the top ten.
