Spidey hangs on to top spot in the UK Chart
Everyone’s friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man topped the bill for the second week running, leaving his rivals hanging.
The Marvel Sony collaboration took another £4.3m in its second week, to take its tally to £22.5m, and above animated rival Toy Story 4.
Third place went to the creepy doll that is Annabelle, who Comes Home in this third outing, taking £2.2m on debut, while Danny Boyle’s Beatles’ ode needs a little Help in fourth after amassing just £8m in three weeks.
Disney’s live action romp with Will Smith, Aladdin, continued to burn brightly in fifth, while Secret Cinema’s Casino Royale continued with its licence to thrill in sixth.
Elsewhere creepy Florence Pugh horror Midsommar simmers in seventh, with animation The Queen’s Corgi sitting still in eighth.
New entries abound in ninth and tenth, with action buddy comedy Stuber, starring Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani and Bill Murray zom-com The Dead Don’t Die taking an underwhelming £211k and £192k respectively.
