Tenet holds onto the top spot in the UK
Seven weeks in, and Christopher Nolan’s time-travelling epic remained top in the UK.
The film, which stars John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, took £296k to take its overall domestic tally to £16.5m.
The runner up spot went to new entry Saint Maud, a disturbing psychological horror starring Morfydd Clark, which debuted with £263k.
Japanese manga Akira opened in third with £201k, while romantic drama After We Collided, starring Ralph Fiennes’ nephew Hero Fiennes Tiffin, took fourth after six weeks in the chart.
Family adventure Cats & Dogs: Paws Unite! lay down in fifth, dropping three places, with £184k, while Sophia Coppola’s On The Rocks, starring Bill Murray and Rashida Jones, climbed one place to sixth.
German animation The Elfkins fell to seventh, with Bill And Ted facing a freefall as well as the music, sinking to eighth.
Pixar animation Onward, featuring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland as two elves, slipped to ninth, while new entry Kajillionaire, starring Rachel Evan Wood and Richard Jenkins, opened in tenth, with £44k.
