US audiences continue to put a smile on clown's face

It: Chapter Two, based on Stephen King's novel, continued to top the US chart for the second week running.
The creepy clown, played by Bill Skarsgard, took another $40m and managed to hold off the challenge of J-Lo and her Hustlers, which opened strongly in second with $33.2m.
That left Gerard Butler’s Angel Has Fallen suffering a drop to third, with Seth Rogen-produced comedy Good Boys in fourth and CGI fest The Lion King in fifth, having amassed $533m domestically so far.
The latest Fast & Furious, spin-off Hobbs & Shaw was in cruise control in sixth, with faith-based Overcomer in seventh, and new entry The Goldfinch, based on Donna Tart’s novel, opening with a disappointing $2.6m.
The impressive Peanut Butter Falcon, starring Shia LaBeouf and Dakota Johnson, stuck around in ninth, with family adventure Dora And The Lost City Of Gold completing the top ten.
