US audiences make time for Tenet

Three weeks in, and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is still topping the bill in the US.
The time-travelling thriller, which features John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, took $6.4m, to add to take its domestic tally to $29.2m.
Superhero fantasy The New Mutants, starring Maisie Williams and Anya Taylor-Joy, remained in the runner up position with a further $2m, with an Unhinged Russell Crowe in third.
Fourth and fifth saw new entries in the form of comedy romance The Broken Hearts Gallery which opened with $1.1m, and romance After We Collided which debuted with $523k.
Elsewhere Keanu’s Bill And Ted Face The Music was turned down to sixth, with drama Words On Bathroom Walls down in seventh.
The SpongeBob movie 2 and Armando Iannucci’s The Personal History Of David Copperfield, starring Dev Patel, complete the chart in eighth and ninth.
