US cinemagoers spooked by It: Chapter Two
Stephen King sequel It: Chapter Two stormed to the top of the US Chart in its opening weekend.
The spooky sequel starring Bill Skarsgard snatched a sizeable $91m, despite coming in less than the original.
This left former incumbent Angel Has Fallen, the actioner starring Gerard Butler, dropping to second, with Seth Rogen produced comedy Good Boys in third.
Elsewhere CGI epic The Lion King continued to reign supreme in fourth, having amassed an impressive $529m domestically, with faith based flick Overcomer in fifth.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw slipped a gear, dropping down to sixth, with The Peanut Butter Falcon starring Shia LaBeouf moving up to seventh.
Elsewhere Guillermo Del Toro’s Scary Movies To Tell In The Dark, Ready Or Not chiller and family fun Dora And The Lost City Of Gold complete the top ten.
