Wreck-It Ralph breaks into the top spot of the US Chart
Wreck-It Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks The Internet, took top spot over Thanksgiving at the US Box Office.
The animation based on video game characters, and which stars John C Reilly and Sarah Silverman, took $55.7m in its opening week, knocking fellow newcomer Creed II into second spot.
The boxing sequel, part of the Rocky universe which stars Michael B Jordan and Sylvester Stallone, took $35m on debut, a stronger opening than its predecessor.
That left The Grinch cursing his luck after being demoted to third, despite its overall tally of $180m, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald losing some of its magic in fourth.
Elsewhere Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody continued to be on song in fifth, with Mark Wahlberg comedy drama Instant Family in sixth spot.
Taron Egerton’s action thriller Robin Hood proved to be wide of the mark after opening in seventh with just $9.1m, while Widows, starring Viola Davis, slipped to eighth.
New entry Green Book, starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali, opened in ninth with $5.4, while fellow musically based movie A Star Is Born continued to draw the crowds in tenth, having taken $191m in its eight weeks.
